Disincentive

John 16:33 says here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by this place we live in. The hardships we go through, the situations we have to decipher, even the people we have deal with can be enough to drag life down to an immediate stop. It is here, when you feel you cannot continue, that you remember Jesus and the example he gave. Here is a man who had never done a single thing wrong, in fact he literally saved lives, and yet even he was faced with the trials of this earth. Yet while he was being beaten by his own people, being spit on and forced to carry the very thing they used to kill him to his death, he says God please forgive then. He doesn’t stop he goes all the way to his death and then joins his father as will we some day, we just need to keep trekking and keep the faith no matter what life throws.

  1. You said it well and what resonated in my heart and hear the most was when you said, … “even the people we have deal with can be enough to drag life down to an immediate stop. It is here, when you feel you cannot continue, that you remember Jesus and the example he gave.

For the 1st time in my life God is really working on getting me (changing me) in the area of truly accepting other people. It is easy to accept sinners, not so easy to accept saints living like sinners and i realize ironically i am suppose to KICK against that but at the same time i am suppose to STOP kickin’ and let Jesus handle it. I am finding myself in a real oxymoronic state but the confusion is fading and Christ is helping me see and understand.

Live for Him and focus on HIM. Do my best pray that it is blessed and He’ll take care of the rest (song below)

    Hebrews 12:2
“2 Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed – that exhilarating finish in and with God – he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God.”

    …Study how he did it.
…he never lost sight of where he was headed
…he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever

  2. As i read read my comment how ironic i wrote “He lived for me i’ll die for HIM” typo? no, when i am coming to understand that yes, He died for me and i’ll live for Him but also
He lived for me so i will die for Him, killing my old man and willing to serve Him until i die.

Thank you son for letting the Holy Spirit use you!
